Catherine Z. Mackey

Catherine Zoller Mackey

Catherine (Cathie) is a fourth generation Bradenton native. She was a “Hall of Fame” graduate from Manatee High School in 1979 and graduated with a major in Communications and minor in the Humanities from Florida State University in 1983. A Florida girl at heart, she received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami.

After graduating from law school, Cathie began her career in Tampa working for the Law Office of Dale Swope. After marrying Peter Mackey in 1988, they moved to Bradenton where she initially worked for McGuire and Parry, P.A. Soon thereafter, she convinced Peter they should follow in the footsteps of her entrepreneurial family and hang out their own shingle in 1991. Mackey Law Group has developed into one of Bradenton’s most enduring law firms.

Cathie is the managing partner of Mackey Law Group and primarily practices in the areas of real estate, probate and estate planning. She is a title agent The FUND and WFG National Title Insurance Company. She has handled all varieties of real estate contracts and closings from the simple to the complex, and has represented individuals and financial institutions in loan workouts and other transactions.

Personally, she and Peter enjoy the water and boating in their spare time. She’s also the proud mother of four children who are paving successful paths of their own.
