Catherine Zoller Mackey, Esq.

Catherine (Cathie) is a fourth generation Bradenton native. She was a “Hall of Fame” graduate from Manatee High School in 1979 and graduated with a major in Communications and minor in the Humanities from Florida State University in 1983. Cathie then received her law degree from the University of Miami.

After graduating from law school, Cathie began her career in Tampa litigating for the Law Office of Dale Swope. After marrying Peter Mackey in 1988, they moved to Bradenton where she initially worked for a small firm, and then in 1991, Cathie started Mackey Law Group. Later Cathie convinced Peter to join the firm. Cathie is a very experienced lawyer. Over the years she has tried both bench and jury trials to conclusion and resolved many complex disputes for her clients. Cathie was also instrumental in Manatee County’s procurement of Emerson Point Park.

Cathie remains the managing partner and overseer of Mackey Law Group. The firm is the oldest and most successful woman start-up firm in the area. Cathie now primarily practices in the areas of real estate, probate, and estate planning. She is a title agent The FUND and WFG National Title Insurance Company. Cathie has handled all types of real estate contracts and closings, from the simple to the complex, and has represented individuals and financial institutions in loan workouts and other transactions, and the firm’s probate and trust & estate practice is growing at an exponential rate.

Personally, Cathie and Peter enjoy the water and boating in their spare time. She’s also the proud mother of four children, including triplets, who are all paving successful paths of their own.
